We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Assistant Property Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial and estate properties primarily across two traditional rural estates in Inverclyde and South Ayrshire.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role combining property management, maintenance coordination, compliance, contractor supervision and regular engagement with tenants, estate staff and owners.
Professional qualifications are welcomed but are not essential.
The role
· Day-to-day management of residential and commercial properties
· Undertaking regular property inspections
· Arranging and overseeing repairs, maintenance and refurbishment projects
· Managing contractors and obtaining quotations for works
· Ensuring compliance with relevant property legislation and safety requirements
· Assisting with lettings, tenant liaison and rent reviews
· Managing utility, insurance and service related matters
· Maintaining accurate property records and management systems
· Supporting wider estate operations and projects as required
· Monitoring budgets and expenditure associated with property assets
About you
· Practical experience in property, facilities or estate management
· Well organised and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Comfortable working independently while contributing to a wider team
· Confident dealing with contractors, tenants and professional advisers
· Good IT skills
· Sound problem solving ability and attention to detail
· A full UK driving license – regular travel between estates is required
Desirable experience
· Knowledge of Scottish residential letting and property legislation
· Experience of managing mixed portfolio properties
· Health and safety and project management experience
